    This course is for those who have earned the WSET Level 3 in Wines. The virtual D6 Diploma course is an independent research paper on a wine-related topic. Each year on Aug 1st, WSET announces two new topics for the coming academic year. Candidates may selected a topic that interests them and complete a 3,000 word research paper independently. The topic of this paper is Bordeaux. Candidates must register by purchasing this product by July 15, 2023. The submission date for a hard copy of the paper is July 31, 2023. A hard copy of the paper must arrive before end of business.

This course is an online course that begins with an instructor-led launch session on April 5th, 2023 at 6pm CST. This 2-hour session is recorded and can be viewed anytime. A class link will be sent to you via email a few days before the class begins. This course contains the same content and materials of our in-person course, however, students are responsible for securing wines locally. A list of suggested wines will be provided during the launch session.

  • This course is for those who have completed the D1 unit of Diploma. It is the second course and exam toward the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines award. The Business of wine covers the costs involved in producing wine including winery, distribution, and transportation costs as well as marketing expenses. It is assessed by means of a 60 min open-response exam that is offered 4 times a year: Jan, March, June, and October. The course includes both WSET Global Classroom and American Wine School led virtual classes on Zoom. The WSET Global Classroom is an independent study program with quizzes and activities to help you move through the content. Guided by an online tutor, the Global Classroom does not have lectures. The American Wine School Virtual sessions are instructor-led lectures with specific dates and times. All sessions are recorded. In some course the Global Classroom and AWS Virtual sessions will take place concurrently; other times the two programs may be offered consecutively.

    This course and exam will take place in in-person in Chicago at the Sofitel. Students will receive their study materials as soon as they register for the course. Once the materials have arrived, please start reading the book and taking notes, making flash cards etc. You  need to come to class prepared having read the book. The course is a two-day immersion course with exam on the third day. The exam may be taken in person or online. Candidates must state which mode of exam they would like to sit at the time of purchase. Once an exam preference has been registered, it cannot be changed.

  • Unit 3 Still Wines of the World

    Unit 3 explores still wines around the globe. Unit 3 is assessed by two separate exams; a tasting exam and a theory, closed-book examination. The exams are held over two days.  The Unit 3 exam dates for 2019 are October 29th and 30th.
  • This course is for those who have earned the WSET Level 3 in Wines. It is the largest course of the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines award. The WSET Global Classroom D3 Diploma course focuses on the wines of the world. The course includes the Diploma D3 eBook and online activities and quizzes led by WSET.
