The Level 3 Wines course offers students a chance to explore style and quality of wines around the world. The course includes in-depth tasting technique, wine laws, and service. Additionally, the course covers factors affecting the style and quality of wines from Europe and from the rest of the world as well as sparkling and fortified wine production around the globe. The course assessment includes a 30 minute blind tasting of two wines, and a 2 hour theory paper consisting of 50 multiple choice questions and four short answer questions. The exam must be completed in person in Chicago. The course material should take about 90 hours to complete. WSET Level 3 Wine ONLINE

The Level 3 Wines program is an online, tutor-guided course with weekly activities. There are no instructor-led lectures associated with this course. An online tutor guides the classroom. Weekly topics can be viewed by logging into the online classroom anytime during the week. There are set start and finish dates for each week, but no set class times. The course is offered in 9 modules with educator support. The course modules should be followed in order, but students are free to complete the modules at their own pace during the 9 week window. Students are responsible for purchasing class wines. Once the course is over, students arrange with American Wine School, an Approved Program Provider, to take the exam in person in Chicago or at an American Wine School location.

The Level 3 Wines Online Learning course fee includes study guide, online course, exam prep class the day before the exam, and exam fee. All wines tasted during the course are purchased by candidates.
