The class begins with virtual ZOOM classes online and also includes an in-person tasting & classes in Pittsburgh. This is a custom-hybrid course recommended for those who have earned the Intermediate Certificate, or have a good foundation of wine knowledge. The class begins with at home study and an in-person tasting day in Jan 2022 before participating in a Virtual, instructor-led program. After the Virtual portion of the program, an all day exam prep sessions take place in person in Pittsburgh. The sessions include review lectures, tastings, and exam prep. Successful candidates receive the Level 3 Certificate of the WSET.

This course is recommended for those who have earned the Intermediate Certificate, or have a good foundation of wine knowledge. This program is a hybrid course designed to provide candidates with both Virtual (instructor-led lectures and pre-recorded lectures) and In-person classroom instruction. The WSET Level 3 exam consists of two sections: Theory and Tasting. To thoroughly prepare candidates for the exam, the Virtual sessions focus primarily on theory via Instructor-led lectures on Zoom, and the in-person session focus on both tasting and theory. To prepare for the exam, candidates will be asked to submit weekly tasting notes for one-on-one feedback to perfect wine tasting notes using the WSET SAT as will as access to an online practice quiz. We highly suggest candidates order their study materials well in advance of the class to study at home. Flash cards, note taking, and reading the book is a must before class. Successful candidates receive the Level 3 Certificate of the WSET.

WSET Level 3 Gift Certificate may be used for any WSET Level 3 class in Chicago or Cleveland. The gift certificate may be applied toward live classes or online classes. Materials will be shipped to the recipient once they have selected a class location and date. Shipping is free! This advanced-level course provides a detailed understanding of grape growing and winemaking. Upon completion, students will be able to assess wines accurately and use their understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality. This course results in a WSET Level 3 certificate. We highly suggest candidates take Level 2 before taking Level 3 unless they have several years of experience in the wine industry. -

This course is for those who have earned the WSET Level 3 in Wines. D1 Wine Production is the first course all Diploma candidates must take before moving on to other units. It delves into the science of wine to include viticulture & vinification practices as well as maturation, treatments, and packaging around the globe. It is assessed by means of a 90 min open-response exam that is offered several times a year. The course fee includes both WSET Global Classroom and American Wine School Virtual Lectures on Zoom. The WSET Global Classroom is an independent study program with quizzes and activities to help you move through the content. Guided by an online tutor, the Global Classroom does not have lectures. The American Wine School Virtual sessions are instructor-led lectures with specific dates and times. All sessions are recorded. Additionally, the course fee includes a 3 year materials and registration fee.
