This is a custom-hybrid course recommended for those who have earned the Intermediate Certificate, or have a good foundation of wine knowledge. The class begins with at home study and an in-person tasting day in Jan 2022 before participating in a Virtual, instructor-led program. After the Virtual portion of the program, an all day exam prep sessions take place in person in Pittsburgh. The sessions include review lectures, tastings, and exam prep. Successful candidates receive the Level 3 Certificate of the WSET. -

The class combines at home study with five (5) In-person Classes & five (5) Virtual, instructor-led Classes. An exam prep session is offered just prior to the exam in person in Cleveland. The exam prep session includes mock tasting & theory. Successful candidates receive the Level 3 Certificate of the WSET.

The WSET Level 3 exam consists of two sections: Theory and Tasting. To thoroughly prepare candidates for the exam, the Virtual sessions focus primarily on theory via Instructor-led lectures on Zoom, and the in-person session focus on both tasting and theory. To prepare for the exam, candidates will be asked to submit weekly tasting notes for one-on-one feedback to perfect wine tasting notes using the WSET SAT as will as access to an online practice quiz. We highly suggest candidates order their study materials well in advance of the class to study at home. Flash cards, note taking, and reading the book is a must before class.
