This course is recommended for those who have earned the Intermediate Certificate, or have a good foundation of wine knowledge. The class begins with virtual classes online. An exam prep course (2 hours live in Chicago) is also included the day before your scheduled exam. We highly suggest candidates order their study materials well in advance of the class to study at home. Flash cards, note taking, and reading the book is a must before class. The sessions include Virtual lectures, and In-person tastings, and exam prep. Successful candidates receive the Level 3 Certificate of the WSET.

It delves into the science of wine to include viticulture & vinification practices as well as maturation, treatments, and packaging around the globe. It is assessed by means of a 90 min open-response exam that is offered several times a year. The course fee includes both WSET Global Classroom and American Wine School Virtual Lectures on Zoom. The WSET Global Classroom is an independent study program with quizzes and activities to help you move through the content. Guided by an online tutor, the Global Classroom does not have lectures. The American Wine School Virtual sessions are instructor-led lectures with specific dates and times. All sessions are recorded. Additionally, the course fee includes a 3 year materials and registration fee. -
