The Deborah O’Brien Women in Wine Scholarship

The Women in Wine Scholarship was created in memory of Deborah O’Brien, who contributed to the wine community for many years through her passion as a sales representative and student of wine. Her curiosity, her love of life and its simple pleasures, led her to pursue a deep knowledge of the wine world. Deb’s professionalism and enthusiasm made her a trusted voice in the industry. Her interest drove her to accomplish professional accreditations including the Wine Spirits and Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 Award in Wines with Distinction, the Certified Specialist in Wine from the Society of Wine Educators, and other accolades in wine sales. This scholarship is established to provide financial assistance for other women who share the same passion by assisting them in pursuing professional certifications and career advancement in the Wine Industry.
