Membership in Grandes Pagos de España is based on a rigorous selection criteria for viticulture and winemaking excellence on the level of a pago, a delineated vineyard parcel that is the ultimate terroir designation in Spain. During this workshop, you will discover the Grandes Pagos de España within 8 different regions of Spain. The course is supported by an online study portal, a digital textbook, and in-person lectures and tastings presented by Marianne Frantz. Space is limited. This course is recommended for those who have earned the Intermediate Certificate, or have a good foundation of wine knowledge. The class is conducted with one virtual ZOOM launch class followed by an online course with video lectures, mock exams, practice quizzes, readings, and one-on-one tasting note feedback. The online course is facilitated by an online tutor. We highly suggest candidates order their study materials well in advance of the class to study at home.
