  • Perfect for people new to the world of wine, Wine 101 is designed to teach you how to taste wine like a professional. The course is one night for 2 hours (6pm - 8pm CST). It is taught by a live instructor online. No experience required. From your local retailer, please have the following wines ready during class: Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, California Chardonnay, Pinot Noir from Oregon or France, and a Zinfandel from California. Half bottles are a great way to keep costs down.

    Wine 101: How to Taste Wine is designed to share information on classic grape varieties, how to taste wine like a pro as well as everyday wine service. Perfect for people new to the world of wine or those interested in learning how to select a bottle of wine from a retail shelf, this one-night class is a great starting point for most novice consumers. No experience required. This course is taught by a live instructor online using Zoom. Once you register, study materials & wine tasting list will be sent to you via regular mail.     • 7-9pm – Cave Reception and Experience: Kick off the weekend in Gervasi’s underground wine cave with a beautiful antipasti display, four wine tastes and a tour of the barrel facility.

    Saturday, November 8

    • 7-8:30am – Enjoy breakfast at your leisure in room or at The Still House
    • 8:30-9am – Welcome and Orientation
    • 9am-12pm – WSET Level 1 Classroom Instruction
    • 12-2pm – Lunch
    • 2-2:45pm – Guided Winery Tour and Meet the Winemaker
    • 3pm – BREAK: Optional South Vineyard Walking Tour or enjoy the Spa at your leisure

  • American Wine School has partnered with Wine Jug to create an AWS 6PK that contains all the wines used during the Introduction to Wine 3-Course Series. The wines will be shipped separately to your home making it easy complete the course.

     This 4-course series takes a dive into the major regions of France. The first class is an overview of winemaking and grape growing as well as tasting technique. After the Zoom launch class, the remaining three (3) classes will be taught in person in Chicago. Each week, two regions will be explored via instructor-led lectures and tastings. Wine laws, labelling terms, grapes and blends will be discussed along with environmental factors that make each region unique. No experience required. Once you register, study materials will be sent to you via regular mail. A class link will be sent to you via email a few days before the class begins.

The topic of this paper is PIWIs. Candidates must register by purchasing this product by July 14, 2024. The submission date for a hard copy of the paper is July 31, 2025. A hard copy of the paper must arrive before end of business (5pm CST) on July 31, 2024. General Tips:
    • Follow all the regulations outlined in the paper guidance.
    • Don't change the name of the paper.
    • Your paper must have a diverse bibliography.
