This course is a hybrid course with some classes in person and some on Zoom conducted by an instructor. The exam and in-person classes will take place in person at the Sofitel, 20 E. Chestnut Street, Chicago. Students will receive their study materials as soon as they register for the course. Once the materials have arrived, please start reading the book and taking notes, making flash cards etc. You need to come to class prepared having read the book. -

Unit 3 Still Wines of the World
Unit 3 explores still wines around the globe. Unit 3 is assessed by two separate exams; a tasting exam and a theory, closed-book examination. The exams are held over two days. The Unit 3 exam dates for 2019 are October 29th and 30th. -
Unit 4 Spirits of the World
Unit 4 explores the methods of spirit production as well as the types and styles of spirits around the globe. Unit 4 is assessed by a combined tasting and theory, closed-book examination, consisting of a tasting paper of three sparkling wines and one theory question. -
