• This course is for those who have completed the D1 unit of Diploma. It is the second course and exam toward the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines award. The Business of wine covers the costs involved in producing wine including winery, distribution, and transportation costs as well as marketing expenses. It is assessed by means of a 60 min open-response exam that is offered 4 times a year: Jan, March, June, and October. The course includes both WSET Global Classroom and American Wine School led virtual classes on Zoom. The WSET Global Classroom is an independent study program with quizzes and activities to help you move through the content. Guided by an online tutor, the Global Classroom does not have lectures. The American Wine School Virtual sessions are instructor-led lectures with specific dates and times. All sessions are recorded. In some course the Global Classroom and AWS Virtual sessions will take place concurrently; other times the two programs may be offered consecutively.

  • WSET Diploma in Wines is for those who have earned the WSET Level 3 in Wines. D1 Wine Production is the first course all Diploma candidates must take before moving on to other units.  Your registration fee give you access to the WSET study book. Once your registration is processed, you will gain access to the materials online and may begin studying right away. Registration is good for three (3) years. To begin Diploma Courses, please purchase either Jan 2024 or June 2024 Course.
  • WSET Level 3 Gift Certificate may be used for any WSET Level 3 class in Chicago or Cleveland. The gift certificate may be applied toward live classes or online classes. Materials will be shipped to the recipient once they have selected a class location and date. Shipping is free! This advanced-level course provides a detailed understanding of grape growing and winemaking. Upon completion, students will be able to assess wines accurately and use their understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality. This course results in a WSET Level 3 certificate. We highly suggest candidates take Level 2 before taking Level 3 unless they have several years of experience in the wine industry.
  • This course is recommended for those who have earned the Intermediate Certificate, or have a good foundation of wine knowledge. The class begins with virtual classes online. An exam prep course (2hours live in Chicago) is also included the day before your scheduled exam. We highly suggest candidates order their study materials well in advance of the class to study at home. Flash cards, note taking, and reading the book is a must before class. The sessions include Virtual lectures, and In-person tastings, and exam prep. Successful candidates receive the Level 3 Certificate of the WSET.
