This course is taught as a hybrid class with both instructor-led courses on Zoom and in-person classes in Pittsburgh. The course also offers online practice quizzes and tasting note feedback to support your studies. Successful completion results in the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines. Perfect for people new to the world of wine, this course results in a WSET Level 1 Wine Award certificate and is a great starting point for novice consumers. No experience required. This course is an online course that begins with an instructor-led launch session on June 12, 2023 at 6pm CST. This 2-hour session is recorded and can be viewed anytime. A class link will be sent to you via email a few days before the class begins. This course contains the same content and materials of our in-person course, however, students are responsible for securing wines locally. A list of suggested wines will be provided during the launch session.

This 4-course series takes a dive into the major regions of France. The first class is an overview of winemaking and grape growing as well as tasting technique. After the Zoom launch class, the remaining three (3) classes will be taught in person in Chicago. Each week, two regions will be explored via instructor-led lectures and tastings. Wine laws, labelling terms, grapes and blends will be discussed along with environmental factors that make each region unique. No experience required. Once you register, study materials will be sent to you via regular mail. A class link will be sent to you via email a few days before the class begins.
