The class is conducted with one virtual ZOOM launch class followed by an online course with video lectures, mock exams, practice quizzes, readings, and one-on-one tasting note feedback. The online course is facilitated by an online tutor. We highly suggest candidates order their study materials well in advance of the class to study at home. This entry level course provides basic information on classic grape varieties, introduction to wine tasting, food & wine pairing as well as basic wine service & storage. Perfect for people new to the world of wine, this course results in a WSET Level 1 Wine Award certificate and is a great starting point for novice consumers. No experience required. This course is an online course that begins with an instructor-led launch session on ZOOM. This 2-hour session is recorded and can be viewed anytime for those who cannot attend. A class link will be sent to you via email a few days before the class begins. This course contains the same content and materials of our in-person course, however, students are responsible for securing wines locally. A list of suggested wines will be provided during the launch session.
