While the course is designed to be completed in 1 month, student have the flexibility to move through the material at their own pace. Each session is outlined in the online course book, Virtual Wine Companion, with corresponding videos, photos, articles, quizzes, and assignments to reinforce key topics. By the end of the session, candidates will have a sound foundation of grape growing and winemaking as well as food & wine pairing. Additionally, students will learn how to construct a professional tasting note and improve their wine tasting skills. The course culminates with a final quiz to test your knowledge before the classroom is closed. -

This course is recommended for those who have earned the Intermediate Certificate, or have a good foundation of wine knowledge. This program is a hybrid course designed to provide candidates with alternating Virtual (instructor-led lectures and pre-recorded lectures) and In-person classroom instruction. The WSET Level 3 exam consists of two sections: Theory and Tasting. To thoroughly prepare candidates for the exam, the Virtual sessions focus primarily on theory via Instructor-led lectures on Zoom, and the in-person session focus on both tasting and theory. To prepare for the exam, candidates will be asked to submit weekly tasting notes for one-on-one feedback to perfect wine tasting notes using the WSET SAT as will as access to an online practice quiz. We highly suggest candidates order their study materials well in advance of the class to study at home. Flash cards, note taking, and reading the book is a must before class. Successful candidates receive the Level 3 Certificate of the WSET. -
