Unit 4 Spirits of the World
Unit 4 explores the methods of spirit production as well as the types and styles of spirits around the globe. Unit 4 is assessed by a combined tasting and theory, closed-book examination, consisting of a tasting paper of three sparkling wines and one theory question. -
WSET Level 3 Gift Certificate may be used for any WSET Level 3 class in Chicago or Cleveland. The gift certificate may be applied toward live classes or online classes. This course is for those who have earned the WSET Level 3 in Wines. The virtual D6 Diploma course is an independent research paper on a wine-related topic. Each year on Aug 1st, WSET announces two new topics for the coming academic year. Candidates may selected a topic that interests them and complete a 3,000 word research paper independently. The topic of this paper is South African Wine Industry. Candidates must register by purchasing this product by January 7, 2022. The submission date for a hard copy of the paper is January 31, 2022. -
This course is recommended for those who have earned the Intermediate Certificate, or have a good foundation of wine knowledge. The class begins with virtual classes online. An exam prep course (2 hours live in Chicago) is also included the day before your scheduled exam. We highly suggest candidates order their study materials well in advance of the class to study at home. Flash cards, note taking, and reading the book is a must before class. The sessions include Virtual lectures, and In-person tastings, and exam prep. Successful candidates receive the Level 3 Certificate of the WSET. -
This course is taught as a hybrid class with both instructor-led courses on Zoom and in-person classes in Pittsburgh. The course also offers online practice quizzes and tasting note feedback to support your studies. Successful completion results in the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines. This course and exam will take place in in-person in Chicago at Binny's Beverage Depot in Lincoln Park. Students will receive their study materials as soon as they register for the course. Once the materials have arrived, please start reading the book and taking notes, making flash cards etc. You need to come to class prepared having read the book. -
