    This course is for those who have completed the D1 unit of Diploma. It is the second course and exam toward the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines award. The virtual D2 Diploma course focuses on the business of wine. The course includes the Diploma D2 eBook and online activities and quizzes led by WSET from Nov 22nd, 2021 - Jan 9th, 2022. It also includes support from American Wine School in the form of Virtual Classes: Oct 4,11,18, 2021. These Virtual Classes will be recorded for those who cannot make the Virtual Class. The D2 exam takes place on Jan 19, 2022 at 11:30am CST in Chicago. It is a 60-minute written exam.
  • This course is for those who have completed the D1 unit of Diploma. It is the second course and exam toward the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines award. The Business of wine covers the costs involved in producing wine including winery, distribution, and transportation costs as well as marketing expenses. It is assessed by means of a 60 min open-response exam that is offered 4 times a year: Jan, March, June, and October. The course includes both WSET Global Classroom and American Wine School led virtual classes on Zoom. The WSET Global Classroom is an independent study program with quizzes and activities to help you move through the content. Guided by an online tutor, the Global Classroom does not have lectures. The American Wine School Virtual sessions are instructor-led lectures with specific dates and times. All sessions are recorded. In some course the Global Classroom and AWS Virtual sessions will take place concurrently; other times the two programs may be offered consecutively.
  • This flexible, entry-level course provides basic information on basic grape varieties, introduction to wine tasting, food and wine pairing as well as basic service knowledge. Perfect for people new to the world of wine, this course results in a WSET Level 1 certificate and is a great starting point for most novice consumers. The online course is based around a 4-week, 7 module online learning programme with educator support available during this time. Each module includes a series of independent activities to help you understand the differences between grape varieties and types and styles of wine. No lectures dates are associated with this course.

    The WSET Level 3 Wine course has a tasting component on the exam. As such, an online exam is not offered. Candidates must sit the exam in person in Chicago. This course includes a live Exam Prep Course the day before the exam from 12-3pm. The exam prep and exam location will be the Sofitel, 20 E. Chestnut, Chicago.

The course includes the Diploma D4 eBook, WSET Online Program led by a WSET tutor with no set class dates, and American Wine School Virtual Classes on Zoom. The D4 exam will take place on June 7, 2022 at 1:30pm in Chicago.

You’ll explore the main styles and types of sake through sight, smell and taste to develop an understanding of the key factors affecting flavors and aromas. Upon successful completion, you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin. There are no entry requirements for this qualification. You must be of legal drinking age in the country where you are attending the course to participate in any alcohol tasting. However, this is not a barrier to successfully completing the qualification.
