Perfect for people new to the world of wine, this course results in a WSET Level 1 certificate and is a great starting point for most novice consumers. No experience required. Study material will be mailed in advance. Please read the study material prior to attending the first class. Online classes are recorded. All in-person class and exams are at the Sofitel, 20 E. Chestnut Street, Chicago. The exam is offered in-person or online. -
This course is recommended for those who have earned the Intermediate Certificate, or have a good foundation of wine knowledge. The class begins with virtual ZOOM classes online and also includes an in-person tasting & classes in Pittsburgh. We highly suggest candidates order their study materials well in advance of the class to study at home. Flash cards, note taking, and reading the book is a must before class.
