This course is the perfect starting point for those who are new to wine or have never taken a wine class before. While the course is designed to be completed in 1 month, student have the flexibility to move through the material at their own pace. Each session is outlined in the online course book, Virtual Wine Companion, with corresponding videos, photos, articles, quizzes, and assignments to reinforce key topics. By the end of the session, candidates will have a sound foundation of grape growing and winemaking as well as food & wine pairing. Additionally, students will learn how to construct a professional tasting note and improve their wine tasting skills. The course culminates with a final quiz to test your knowledge before the classroom is closed. -

This course and exam will take place in in-person in Chicago at Binny's Beverage Depot in Lincoln Park. Students will receive their study materials as soon as they register for the course. Once the materials have arrived, please start reading the book and taking notes, making flash cards etc. You need to come to class prepared having read the book.
