The Level 3 Wines course offers students a chance to explore style and quality of wines around the world. The course includes in-depth tasting technique, wine laws, and service. Additionally, the course covers factors affecting the style and quality of wines from Europe and from the rest of the world as well as sparkling and fortified wine production around the globe. The course assessment includes a 30 minute blind tasting of two wines, and a 2 hour theory paper consisting of 50 multiple choice questions and four short answer questions. Online WSET Level 3 Award in Wines with AWS Flex-Study™
The AWS Flex-Study™ offers the most flexible, lecture-based program for studying wine. All courses begins with an instructor-led launch session designed to provide students with a course induction, answer any student questions, and explain the tasting process including suggested wines. The launch session is recorded and maybe viewed anytime. Students then move through the program at their own pace via pre-recorded lectures, videos, practice quizzes, wine tasting feedback and more. Once the course is over, students must sit the exam in person in either Chicago or Detroit. Successful candidates will receive a digital certification.
