This course is a hybrid course with 3 classes taking place on Zoom and 3 classes taking place on one day in Detroit. The exam will take place in Detroit or may be taken online. Students will receive their study materials as soon as they register for the course. Once the materials have arrived, please start reading the book and taking notes, making flash cards etc. You need to come to class prepared having read the book.

This intermediate level course provides information on basic grape varieties, climates, and wine making techniques used in the major grape growing regions of the world. Additionally, the course includes service, storage and tasting techniques. This course results in a WSET Level 2 certificate. No experience required. This course is taught by a live instructor online and is delivered over 6 weeks. Once you register, study materials will be sent to you via regular mail. You can begin studying immediately. A class link will be sent to you via email a few days before the class begins. While the classroom is virtual and contains all the content, materials, and instruction a live class would, students are required to purchase their own wine. Since there is no blind tasting associated with the exam, students can taste as many or as little of suggested wines as they desire. The instructor will provide a wine list needed for the class.

Perfect for people new to the world of wine, this course results in a WSET Level 1 certificate and is a great starting point for most novice consumers. No experience required. This course is taught by a live instructor online during a weekly class. The class is delivered over three weeks and each session is 2 hours long. Once you register, study materials will be sent to you via regular mail. A class link will be sent to you via email a few days before the class begins. While this course contains all the same content, materials, and delivery of a face-to-face course, students will be responsible for securing the wines.

Perfect for people new to the world of wine, Wine 101 is designed to teach you how to taste wine like a professional. The course is one night for 2 hours (6pm - 8pm CST). It is taught by a live instructor online. No experience required. From your local retailer, please have the following wines ready during class: Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, California Chardonnay, Pinot Noir from Oregon or France, and a Zinfandel from California. Half bottles are a great way to keep costs down.

This course is for those who have earned the WSET Level 3 in Wines. It is the largest course of the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines award. The WSET Global Classroom D3 Diploma course focuses on the wines of the world. The course includes the Diploma D3 eBook and online activities and quizzes led by WSET. The American Wine School offers one-on-one tasting feedback online. The American Wine School also offers Virtual lectures on Zoom for select wine regions. The D3 exam is offered May and Oct of each year. The exam is given over two days in Chicago.
