This course is for those who have completed the D1 unit of Diploma. It is the second course and exam toward the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines award. The Business of wine covers the costs involved in producing wine including winery, distribution, and transportation costs as well as marketing expenses. It is assessed by means of a 60 min open-response exam that is offered 4 times a year: Jan, March, June, and October. The course includes both American Wine School Flex-Study Portal and American Wine School led virtual classes on Zoom. The Flex-Study Portal is an independent study program with quizzes and activities to help you move through the content. Guided by an online tutor, the Flex-Study Portal does not have lectures. The American Wine School Virtual sessions are instructor-led lectures with specific dates and times. All sessions are recorded. The exam date is associated with the course and cannot be changed as exams are ordered in advance. Candidates who miss their scheduled exam will be subject to a missed exam fee.
