This course focuses on wine tasting, pairing, storage & service as well as factors that affect the style and quality of wine. Students will learn how environmental factors influence wine style and quality. Additionally, the course covers white, rose, and red wine making in various regions around the world. A particular focus is place on understanding classic grape varieties as well as labeling terms. Fortified and Sparkling wines are also discussed. The course assessment is a 60 min, 50 question, multiple choice exam that can be taken online or in person. The course material should take about 30 hours to complete. Online Level 2 Wine

 The WSET Level 2 Wine online course includes a tutor-guided course with weekly activities. It is a flexible self-study online course guided by a an online tutor. Weekly topics can be viewed by logging into the student portal anytime during the week. While the course material is the same as our in-person classes, the actual classes remain flexible and can be accessed 24/7. The course modules should be followed in order, but students are free to complete the modules at their own pace during the course.

Once the course is over, students sit an exam with American Wine School either in person at an American Wine School location or online from the comfort of your own home. While there is no blind tasting on the exam, sampling wines is a fun part of the learning experience. Students should taste a range of wines during their studies.
