A virtual wine course for the non-professional, A Virtual Introduction to Wine is designed to share information on classic grape varieties, how to taste wine like a Pro, food and wine pairing as well as everyday wine service. Perfect for people new to the world of wine or those interested in learning how to select a bottle of wine from a retail shelf, this virtual, 3-course series is a great starting point for most novice consumers. No experience required.
This course is taught by a live instructor online during a weekly class. The class is delivered over three weeks and each session is 1.5 hours long. Once you register, study materials will be sent to you via regular mail. A class link will be sent to you via email a few days before the class begins. While this course contains all the same content, materials, and delivery of a face-to-face course, students will be responsible for securing the wines. If you have wines in your home, you might have what you need for the class, if not we can help. AWS will provide a list of wines that you can share with your local retailer or we have hand-selected an AWS 6-pack for Level 1 through WineJug, an online retailer, to enhance your studies. Founded by an AWS alum, WineJug can deliver your class wines directly to your door. Chicago attendees can secure the AWS 6 pk at Binnys. Students are responsible for the cost of the wines.
