D1 Wine Production

Diploma Registration is open 365 days a year. Candidates are registered once they pay the REGISTRATION FEE below. Once the WSET registration is processed, candidates will receive access to the Diploma study materials and e-Book. D1 Flex-study & Zoom sessions are offered in January (March exam) and June (Aug Exam) and are purchased separately. All candidates must pay the Registration Fee below before purchasing The D1 course.

D1 is a 6 week-course online, Flex-study course supplemented by AWS Virtual Classes on ZOOM. The course delves into the science of wine to include viticulture & vinification practices. Understand what the vine’s requirements are to produce grapes and explain how the natural and human factors in the vineyard influence the quality of the grapes produced. Understand what winemaking options are available to a a producer and explain how these options influence the style, quality, and price of wines produced. Assessed by means of an open-response paper, the exam is 90 min.
